Christopher Duby, Esq.

Founder

Attorney Duby is the founder of The Law Office of Christopher Duby LLC. He is one of eleven Board-certified criminal trial advocates with the National Board of Trial Advocacy, one of the nation’s premier trial lawyer associations. Attorney Duby has tried dozens of criminal cases to verdict for charges including murder, kidnapping, sexual assault, risk of injury, robbery, arson, larceny, mail fraud, tax fraud and other serious offenses.

Attorney Duby represents people charged with criminal offenses in Connecticut and federal courts. HIs experience is vast and he has appeared before the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts.

The Governor of Connecticut put Attorney Duby on the Connecticut Department of Labor’s Board of Mediation and Arbitration. He also served as a Connecticut magistrate judge upon his appointment by the Chief Justice of the Connecticut courts.

Attorney Duby is admitted to practice in Connecticut state courts, the Federal District Court for the District of Connecticut, the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Attorney Duby was recognized as an expert in criminal defense on several different occasions by judges in Connecticut. He is the immediate past president of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, after serving on its Executive Board for eight years.

Attorney Duby has spoken at numerous continuing legal education seminars and provides the Annual Review of Criminal Cases at the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association’s March meeting. He is also a cited resource in Prof. John Butler’s seminal book “Advanced Topics in Forensic DNA Typing: Interpretation” due to his experience in dealing with DNA cases.
