Ashley Foreman

Former Assistant Counsel to the Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut. Practices criminal defense and habeas corpus law.

Ashley Foreman practices in the areas of criminal defense and habeas corpus law. She is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Connecticut and the District of Columbia. Ashley joined the firm in May 2026.

Before joining the firm, Ashley practiced in the areas of habeas and post-conviction litigation with another firm in the state. Before that, Ashley served as Assistant Counsel and Deputy Communications Director to the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Connecticut, as well as Policy Counsel to the Connecticut General Assembly's House Majority Leader. Ashley began her tenure at the Connecticut General Assembly as Sessional Legal Counsel to the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives.

Before her time at the General Assembly, she worked as an attorney in the Office of the Public Defender at Meriden Superior Court. Ashley served as a member of the Connecticut Judicial Selection Commission from March 2023 to March 2025. She also served as the Vice President of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association from May 2024 to March 2025.

Ashley graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she received a Juris Doctor degree, and from Quinnipiac University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice, summa cum laude. During law school, Ashley interned with the Quinnipiac University School of Law Civil Justice Clinic, advocating for the end of felony disenfranchisement in Connecticut at the state capitol. She was also a member of the QUSL Mock Trial team, winning the title of Best Overall Advocate at an intramural competition.
