Christopher Duby

Tried over 50 criminal cases to verdict in Connecticut and federal courts. Past President, CT Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Attorney Duby started The Law Office of Christopher Duby LLC as a solo practice in North Haven, Conn. in 2006. His vision was to have a client-centered boutique practice that represents people charged with criminal offenses in state and federal court. Since that time, he has tried over 50 criminal trials to verdict for all manner of offenses, including white collar offenses, violent crimes, and DUI/DWI.

Attorney Duby is a member of the Connecticut bar, the United States Supreme Court bar, and he is admitted to the bars of the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Attorney Duby is a former member of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association executive board and served as its President in 2018. After being appointed by the Governor, Attorney Duby has served on the Connecticut Board of Mediation and Arbitration since 2015 as a management representative. He was also appointed by the Chief Justice as a magistrate, serving in that role for four years.

Attorney Duby has argued appeals to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and First Circuit Court of Appeals on several occasions. Since opening the firm, his vision has worked out — the firm has grown to seven attorneys, and the vast majority of cases handled are for people who are either the subjects of pending investigations or who are charged with offenses.
